The Exceptional Entrepreneur
The Problem
After putting in the work, following the best advice, doing the things you’re supposed to do to move a business forward, and learning a thing or two, you expected your business to be moving forward. And rightly so!
So why isn't it?
Why Partial Answers Fail
Almost every kind of help out there is only part of the answer.
The Business Side
The Personal Side
Each is only part of the whole story of running and growing a business. And working from only part of the story is why you’re still stuck.
Growing a business takes both, together, because the business and the person building it move each other. This is what exceptional entrepreneurship is all about. Not working harder than everyone else, but building yourself and the business, so neither holds the other back.
You’re a different person and owner from the one who founded your business. The business is different from what it was when you created it, too. The two of you don’t change on the same schedule.
One of you moves forward, which creates tension with the other. That tension signals that you and the business are out of step. Act on the tension, and things start moving. Ignore it, and you both stay stuck.
The Framework
That out-of-step feeling is the first opportunity to enter the three phases you and the business are each moving through, usually at different speeds, again and again.
01
Escape is the recognition that you’re stuck and deciding to move out of it. This is difficult for many because it feels safer to do what you know. But the only way forward is doing something differently.
02
Expand is the messy, hands-on stretch where you build the bigger thing and find out what it’s meant to be.
03
Excel is where you fine-tune things to run effectively and efficiently.
And when this version of you or the business starts to feel tight or stuck, you're back at Escape again.
You and your business each run through this cycle. And when the two of you are in different places, which is most of the time, the difference between the two of you points straight at the Escape route. Learning to read that, and act on it, is how you build both. It’s what makes an entrepreneur exceptional.
This doesn’t mean that you’ve always got to forge ahead on a continuous growth cycle. You can decide that you’ve built the business to the size you want and hold it there on purpose. You can also decide not to grow as an entrepreneur. It’s your life and business, and no one knows what’s best for you.

The fifteen-minute conversation gives us time to look at where you and your business actually are. For most business owners, this is the first time anyone’s looked at both at once. Most people leave saying they finally felt seen.
By the end, you’ll know whether I’m the right person to help you, and I’ll know whether the way I work fits where you’re headed. Either way, you’ll see your situation more clearly than you did going in.
Let's find out. Fifteen minutes, and you'll get clarity on whether you and your goals fit my process.
